The Project is over, at least for now. I left Kushimoto yesterday to have a last minute fun and business here in Japan before returning to Texas A&M.
The three weeks that we stayed in Kushimoto felt long while I was there, but now I feel it was very short. If I could, I would have stayed longer. I wanted to explore the town and the area. This was the first time for me to visit this region. I though there would be more free time to go out to town, but that was a mistake. Actually, it wasn't bad. I worked a lot, but I enjoyed the task that was given to me.
It was a busy project... Translating continuously was not an easy job. However, I got used to random questions at the end. I guess I was a bridge between Japanese and Turkish/US team. I would like to return to Kushimoto next year, if everything goes well. The plan for the next year is excavation, and the people at the town are offering many necessary equipments to us. We might be able to conduct excavation much easier than we think...
